Where are you?

Where art thou?
I don't like playing with people's feelings any more than you do.
But, as you said, I've no control over them (feelings).
Allah is (in control).
I pray that I can (and will, insyaAllah) leave my dark days behind; once and for all.

Is to care not the same as to love?

P/s: I might've been befuddled by the two.
